Sri Jagadguru Renukacharya College of Science, Arts and Commerce is being run by Jagadguru Renukacharya Education Society which was founded in 1945 under the name of Veerashaiva Education Society
Our objective is "Harnessing the energies and resources of the people to advance civilized life and promote social service and for the instruction and diffusion of useful knowledge"
The institution caters to educational needs of students from various sections of society. It mainly focuses on
and many more that lay foundation to the holistic development of individuals.
Our college is recognized by UGC under 2(f) & 12(B). Our college has received substantial financial assistance from UGC and it helped in infrastructure development and in procuring required equipments.
The institution is accredited with grade B+ by NAAC in 2003. In the post accreditation period the institution has launched its website www.sjrc.edu.in IQAC that was constituted in 2004 has adopted quality as a defining element at all levels.
Speaking from the angle of curricular development, the institution started B.Sc _ Bio-technology in CBBt / CZBt combination in 2004. The UGC sponsored add on course in Arts Stream was started in 2005. To cater the needs of Science students UGC sponsored Add-on-Course in Science Stream was started during 2006. Our College is one of the few colleges running Add-on-Course in all the three streams. Correspondingly UGC sponsored Add-on-Course in Commerce Stream will be commenced from 2009 - 10. |
